Admission Guidelines

  • The student's name must be the same across all documents, including the Birth Certificate, Aadhaar Card, etc.
  • If a student is seeking admission and has previously attended another school, the names on the Transfer Certificate and the accompanying documentation must match.
  • The parent's name must correspond with that on their PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Passport, etc. (At least two documents should reflect the same name. The child’s Aadhaar card should reflect the same parent’s name as well.)

Admission Criteria

  • Admissions are based on the performance of the student in the assessment conducted in various subjects.
  • The decision of the Principal shall be final in this regard.
  • Assessment is based on the syllabus of the classes preceding the one to which admission is sought.

Pre-Primary Classes

Age Criteria (as of 1st June of the Academic Year):

Pre-KG

  • Age: 3 years completed

Lower Kindergarten (L.K.G)

  • Age: 4 years completed

Upper Kindergarten (U.K.G.)

  • Age: 5 years completed

Admission Process

  • Based on a student-friendly assessment questionnaire
  • Followed by an interaction/interview with the Principal, along with the parents and child

Primary to High School (Std I – Std XI)

Admission Process

  • Performance in a student-friendly, conceptual, and skill-based assessment questionnaire
  • An interview with the parents and the student, conducted by the Principal

General Admission Guidelines

  • Applications for LKG, UKG, and Std I are usually accepted from the last week of October, unless otherwise announced.
  • Students who have previously attended a recognized school must submit a Transfer Certificate (T.C.) from the last school attended.
  • All applicants must appear for an Admission Test at the time of admission. and Only those who meet the academic standards of the school will be admitted.
  • At the time of admission, the following fees must be paid in advance: Entrance Fee, Tuition Fees for the First Term, Special Fees.
  • For admission to Std II to Std XI, parents must submit the original Transfer Certificate, duly signed by the Head of the previous Institution. It must also be countersigned by an Education Department Officer (not below the rank of District Inspector of Schools) from the respective State or Union Territory.

Important Note: Application Submission

  • Registration forms for LKG, UKG, and Std I can be downloaded from the school website. These must be filled accurately and submitted to the ICSE office within 3 days.
  • For Std II to Std XI, application forms may be submitted at the fee counter after April. Admissions for these classes are subject to availability of seats.
  • Online Admission is facilitated.

Nursery Classes

Age Criteria (as of 1st June of the Academic Year):

Pre-KG

  • Age: 3 years Plus

Lower Kindergarten (L.K.G)

  • Age: 4 years Plus

Upper Kindergarten (U.K.G.)

  • Age: 5 years Plus

Admission Criteria for Std. I to Std. IX

  • The student must be promoted from the previous class.
  • The student must attend the school-conducted entrance test and secure at least 60%.
  • Language Options:

For Std. I to V

  • I Language – English
  • II Language – Kannada / Hindi

For Std. VI to VIII

  • I Language – English
  • II Language – Kannada / Hindi / Sanskrit
  • III Language – Hindi / Sanskrit / Kannada

Criteria for Std. XI - ISC

  • The student must be promoted from Std. X.
  • Must have secured at least 60% in the Std. X Board Examination.
  • Must attend and secure a minimum of 60% in the school-conducted entrance test.

  • Maths/Business studies (Any one).

  • Admission Process: Direct admission through oral interaction

Lower Kindergarten (L.K.G.)

  • Age: 3 years 8 months
  • Eligibility: Completion of Pre-Nursery
  • Admission Process: Entrance test conducted by the school

Upper Kindergarten (U.K.G.)

  • Age: 4 years 8 months
  • Eligibility: Completion of L.K.G.
  • Admission Process: Entrance test conducted by the school

Admission Criteria – I Std to IX Std

  • The student must be promoted from the previous class
  • Must appear for the entrance test conducted by the school
  • Must obtain a minimum score of 60% in the entrance test

The Oxford State Primary – Admission Criteria

Primary Admission Criteria

  • The child must meet the minimum age requirement for the respective class.
  • The child must appear for the entrance test conducted by the school and secure a satisfactory score.

Admission Procedure

  • Admissions begin in October every year.
  • Admission is based on performance in an entrance test covering subjects from the previous academic level.
  • The Principal’s decision is final.
  • Every applicant must register before appearing for the entrance test/interview.
  • Online application forms are available on the school’s official website.
  • Application forms must be accurately filled and signed by the parent or guardian.

The Oxford State High School – Admission Criteria

Primary Admission Criteria

  • The student must be promoted from the previous class.
  • The student must score a minimum of 60% in the entrance test conducted by the school.

Admission Procedure

  • Admissions commence in October every academic year.
  • Every applicant must register first, and then appear for an interview or entrance test.
  • Admissions are granted based on the student’s performance in the entrance test conducted on various subjects.
  • The decision of the Principal is final.
  • The entrance test is based on the syllabus of the class preceding the one for which admission is being sought.
  • Online applications are available on the school website.
  • The application form must be filled out accurately and duly signed by the parent or guardian.

Admissions & Eligibility

Child-friendly Interview

  • A Child-friendly interview is conducted in the presence of parents.

Pre-Primary (Nursery)

L.K.G

  • Child must be 3+ years old.

U.K.G

  • Child must be 3 years 10 months to 4 years old.

Preparatory Class

  • Age: 4 years 10 months to 5 years as on 1st June of the academic year.

Primary to High School (Std I to X)

  • I Std: Child should be 5 years 10 months to 6 years old as on 1st June, and must have completed Kindergarten.
  • VIII Std Admission: Must have passed VII Std, and submit a Transfer Certificate, countersigned by the Block Educational Officer (BEO).
